Following its acquisition by Stephenville International Airport Corp., supported by BTG Capital, the airport is pursuing a long-term plan focused on infrastructure revitalization, operational growth and strategic development, working alongside local communities, Indigenous groups, government and regional businesses.

Grand re-opening set for October 2, 2026
Join us at the airport from 2:30 to 4:30pm for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, remarks from BTG Capital, SIA investors and government, and an afternoon with local dignitaries and community leaders. Refreshments will be served.

BTG Capital Inc., on behalf of BTG Critical Infrastructure Co-Invest LP I, has acquired Stephenville International Airport, establishing a strategic infrastructure platform in Atlantic Canada. The firm plans a phased investment in infrastructure modernization, expanded aviation and cargo operations, aerospace partnerships and industrial development.
